African Group Lubricants (AG Lubricants) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Yang as Sales & Operations Director, effective immediately. With nearly two decades of experience in sales, marketing, and supply chain management, Peter brings a wealth of strategic and operational expertise to the company as it continues to expand its market presence and enhance customer value across South Africa and beyond.
Prior to joining AG Lubricants, Peter served as Supply Chain Country Manager for Shell Lubricants South Africa, where he led supply chain team, achieving year-on-year cost savings, enhanced customer satisfaction, and ISO/IATF certifications across the supply chain.
His leadership also extended to governance roles, including serving on the boards of Blendcor (Joint Venture between BP and Shell) and the Rose Foundation, and as a trustee of the Shell SA Retirement Fund. Earlier in his career, he held several senior sales positions within Shell, driving significant revenue growth and developing innovative channel and distributor strategies.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours in Information Systems) from the University of Cape Town and is an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). His track record of fostering high-performance teams and delivering consistent business growth makes him an invaluable addition to AG Lubricants’ executive leadership.
