Bühler to exhibit at MTE Richards Bay and MTE Gweru

From bulk handling to chain conveyors, Bühler Johannesburg will exhibit its specialised solutions at two key MTE exhibitions. The focus at MTE Richards Bay will be the OEM’s ship loaders and unloaders, while MTE Gweru will highlight its conveyor chains and accompanying maintenance offering.

The Bühler Portaload stationary ship loader is a high-throughput ship loader for grain and raw materials. Its efficient loading system cuts down berthing times, reduces installation costs, and loads a wide range of ships up to Post-Panamax class. The mobile Portaload has a high throughput of 800 tph to 3 000 tp.

It can provide short berthing times and is a reliable loader for bulk materials. The Bühler Portalink is a continuous mechanical ship unloader designed for the reliable and efficient unloading of grain, oilseed, and derivatives. It has a maximum unloading throughput of up to 1 300 tph.

Bühler’s chain conveyors set new standards for service life, sanitation, and versatility, with throughputs of up to 1 200 tph. Bühler Johannesburg provides sales and after-sales service across Sub Saharan Africa. Its professional service engineers are available 24/7 to assist in reducing plant downtime.

In addition, Bühler Johannesburg offers project execution services for smooth implementation of client solutions. The Johannesburg location houses state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities that also supplies assemblies for machines and production plants globally. Bühler has service stations in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Lusaka, and Maputo that offer spare and wear parts, roll re-fluting, and die refurbishment.

MTE Richards Bay in KwaZulu takes place on 13 June at John Ross College. MTE (Mining and Technical Exhibitions) celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2023. Since 1993, it has organised exhibitions at mines and industrial operations across Southern Africa. Richards Bay itself is home to several important mining and industrial operations, including sugar, acid, harbour, and paper and pulp operations.

MTE Gweru takes place on 30 July in the Midlands Province, Zimbabwe. Here the MTE expo focuses on the underground Unki platinum mine, which has one of the largest platinum reserves in Zimbabwe Unki mine is fully mechanised and has both conventional on-reef and walling and tramming sections.
