The competition, launching on 2 March 2015, involves entrants choosing from one of three virtual chair types – the Zig-Zag, Wave or Rocking Chair – on www.skil-fox.com and pimping it out in any way they chose. “The easy-to-use online tools allow entrants to manipulate colour, pattern and finish and embellish with all manner of decorative elements. Once they have completed their design, it is uploaded to the gallery for public admiration and hopefully votes,” says Skil Junior brand manager Taahir Suliman.

By the end of April 2015, the entrant whose chair has received the most votes from visitors to the site will be chosen as the winner. The lucky artist will see their vision realised and be presented with their chair, as well as three Skil DIY tools. “The set will include the Skil Fox Multi-Sander, Skil Hammer Drill and Skill Jig Saw to help them bring all their DIY dreams to life,” notes Suliman.

The Skil Fox Multi-Sander combines orbital, random orbit and delta sanders in one to finish any surface, corner and edge with ease. The Skil Hammer Drill is suited to the toughest applications, and the Skil Jig Saw ensures precise work cutting smooth curves and straight lines through wood and metal. “These exciting prizes can be viewed on the competition site, together with full details about how to enter. The only thing holding you back are the limits of your imagination,” concludes Suliman.
