The Skil 3900 bench grinder features a 370 watt induction motor, ensuring that the tool has the required power for all grinding tasks. Skil senior brand manager Juergen Lauer notes that the tool is extremely durable thanks to the metal motor housing and guards.

“The 3900 bench grinder makes use of 200 mm grinding wheels with a wheel width of 20 mm. It makes use of two different types of grids, namely grid 36 and 60. Grid 36 is for tasks that require rough work, such as deburring and shaping. Grid 60 is ideal for fine work like sharpening and rust removal,” he explains.

According to Lauer, the Skil 3900 bench grinder has two adjustable transparent protection glasses for increased user safety while working. It also features a dust protected on/off switch. The tool has soft start, ensuring that the user has complete control of the grinder.

Lauer points out that there are two stable and adjustable tool rests, which allow the user to set the tool rests in any desired angle. “The tool rests provide optimum support of the work piece, and when the grinding disc is wearing, the tool rests can be adjusted towards the grinding disc, ensuring continued support of the work piece,” he concludes.

The Skil 3900 comes standard with; two grinding discs (grid 36 and grid 60), two adjustable tool rests, and two spark guards.
