The importance of packaging and its ancillary industries took centre stage at Africa’s ultimate packaging, food processing, plastics, printing, and labelling trade exhibition. Shumani Industrial Equipment was one of 600 exhibitors highlighting the latest technologies and innovations, state-of-the-art equipment and machinery, and auxiliary products and services.

“Packaged products on retail shelves are largely as a result of the collective food-processing, packaging, plastics, print and labelling industries, which is why it’s so important to showcase these industries under one roof,” said Propak Africa 2019 Event Director Sven Smit.

He added that packaging extends beyond the FMCG market to encompass all industry sectors. Propak Africa was co-located The GAPP Print Expo, Pro-Plas Expo, FoodPro and Pro-Label Africa to showcase the latest developments across the full industry lifecycle.

Propak Africa was ideally positioned for visitors to source products and latest industry information, engage with technical experts, and view interactive product displays and live demonstrations. Value-added initiatives for 2019 included themed days over the duration of the expo, and free-to-attend seminars, which saw over 20 industry representative address key issues and share their experience and expertise.
