Bühler Southern Africa is gearing up to exhibit its materials handling solutions at four upcoming Mining & Technical Exhibitions (MTE) taking place between July and October 2025. Known for its robust conveyors, chains, and customised process equipment, Bühler continues to support mining clients with solutions designed to thrive in Africa’s most demanding production environments.
The first stop will be Steelpoort in Limpopo on 31 July 2025, followed by two exhibitions in Zimbabwe – Ngezi on 19 August and Gweru on 21 August. The final leg of the series will take place in Lephalale, Limpopo on 16 October.
With decades of local expertise and access to global innovation, Bühler Southern Africa delivers complete conveying systems, spare parts, refurbishment services, and shutdown support for the mining and minerals processing industry. These systems are engineered to perform in harsh environments where reliability and uptime are critical.
Bühler’s conveying technology is built for durability in high-temperature, abrasive and corrosive applications. Whether moving hot clinker, chrome, cement, or dust-laden coal, the equipment on display is designed to reduce maintenance intervals, lower operating costs, and extend service life helping clients minimise downtime and maximise throughput.
“These exhibitions allow us to connect directly with the operations teams on the ground, the people who deal with daily plant challenges. It’s the ideal platform to demonstrate how Bühler’s robust solutions can simplify maintenance, improve reliability, and ultimately support production continuity,” says Francois Knoetze, Head of Manufacturing at Bühler Southern Africa.
Each location in the MTE line-up is strategically important to the regional mining economy. Steelpoort, located along the Eastern Limb of the Bushveld Complex, is a key player in South Africa’s chrome and platinum belt industries that demand high-volume materials handling with minimum failure.
Ngezi, one of Zimbabwe’s largest platinum mining zones, is an emerging hub for advanced underground and surface mining operations. Bühler’s robust chain systems are ideally suited to the high-capacity movement required here. Gweru, in the Midlands province of Zimbabwe, is home to both ferrochrome and cement production facilities, making it an ideal environment for Bühler’s flexible handling solutions.
Lephalale, located in Limpopo’s Waterberg region, plays a vital role in South Africa’s coal and power sectors. The area’s dusty, high-wear conditions make it essential to deploy equipment that is tough, reliable, and easy to maintain.
Bühler remains committed to supporting the mining industry with smart, durable, and locally backed materials handling systems. Visitors to the MTE roadshows will have the opportunity to connect with Bühler’s technical experts to discuss specific applications and explore ways to optimise their operations.
