Given the limited timeframe afforded to the building sector to comply, the South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) has defined the process and undertaken the development of tools and guidelines to prepare all stakeholders and enable the efficient implementation of the EPC process.
The new legislation affects public buildings over 1 000 m2 and private buildings over 2 000 m2. To assist its clients to comply with the new requirements, leading consulting engineering and infrastructure advisory firm Zutari is offering its experience in this regard, highlights Yovka Raytcheva-Schaap, Associate, Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) Consulting & Project Management.
With deep expertise in building services, including building management systems (BMS) and ESD, Zutari can assist clients with the current most pressing requirements, such as transitioning to a low carbon economy, policy and legal compliance, and digital transformation.
“We offer a wide range of services from design and construction supervision through to commissioning, building tuning, energy analysis, digital twining and strategy development for net zero carbon, water and waste performance,” highlights Raytcheva-Schaap.
Zutari offers both upstream and downstream assistance with the EPC process:
