The winners of the awards for the various categories were announced at the Southern African Metals and Engineering Indaba at the IDC Conference Centre in Sandton, Johannesburg at the end of May.

Voith MD Charl Folscher expressed his gratitude towards SEIFSA for the recognition. “We are working towards being world-class,” he highlighted.

Folscher explained that Voith had received the award on the back of its involvement with the SEIFSA Small Business Hub, working with small suppliers to help them improve their organisations. Voith provided assistance related to health and safety, processes, compliance and marketing.

SEIFSA CEO Kaizer Nyatsumba commented that: “In such turbulent economic times and a challenging business environment, we believe it is critically important for those companies which excel at what they do to receive the acknowledgement and recognition they deserve.

“I would like to encourage these companies to continue to work hard towards excelling and providing the sector with examples of excellence. This will inspire other companies to improve their operations so that they can be afforded the opportunity to win at future SEIFSA awards.”

Voith was presented with the award for the ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Year’ at the SEIFSA Awards for Excellence 2015.
