The latest iteration of this isolated/universal input, standalone multi-channel data logger boasts a maximum sampling interval of up to 10ms. The data logger contains a highly-isolated input mechanism to ensure that signals are not corrupted by noise from other channels. Inputs are suitable for combined measurement from voltage, temperature, humidity and logic, as well as pulse signals.

The memory capacity can be extended easily, with the new GL series featuring two SD memory card slots for SDHC type cards of up to 32GB. A 4GB SD memory card comes as a standard accessory, installed in the first slot.

The most recent data is saved when the memory is configured in ring memory mode, with 1 000 to two million points of data being able to be captured. Data is saved continuously in multiple files up to 2GB, without any data loss, until capture is stopped when the memory is configured in relay mode.

Another handy feature is that the SD card can be replaced during data capture when the sampling interval is 100ms or slower. The power source can either be AC, DC or rechargeable battery pack. A DC power drive cable and battery pack are available as optional accessories.

The Actum Group comprises two main divisions. Actum Electronics focuses on electronic components, while Actum Industrial encompasses industrial products, instrumentation, pneumatics and professional tooling. All these businesses have been well-established brands in their respective markets.

The acquisition of Peter Jones Electronic Equipment, a leader in the diagnostic, analytical and process instrumentation industry, continued this expansion apace in 2012. This was an important step as it elevated the Actum Group’s product range from a component level to an integrated solutions offering, director Kevin Klaff points out.
