The company has established a dedicated training facility at its Pretoria premises. A ground-floor training room accommodates 30 delegates, who are able to network or work further in a first-floor ‘chill area’ that includes a laptop station.
Construction of the new facility began in July, with the first formal training course expected to be presented in November, I-CAT Business Development and Marketing Director Lourens Jansen van Rensburg reveals. “The proposed training programmes will be customised to focus on the needs of specific interest groups within both the public and private sectors,” he explains.
Although a key focus area of the training will be related to environmental issues, a range of additional courses is also envisaged. These will include management and health and safety training, and even First Aid training.
“I-CAT will use highly qualified and experienced external and internal facilitators with the relevant practical experience to provide well-structured and topic-specific training courses to both external delegates and internal employees,” Jansen van Rensburg highlights.
