“The first stock consignment was not affected by the Covid-19 crisis. All shipments arrived on time and we have been supplying to the market,” notes BI Offer Marketing Manager Victor Strobel. BI currently has stock of the most popular sizes of the ball bearing unit range from Craft Bearings, as well as the most common deep groove ball bearings and tapered roller bearings.
Since the launch, which saw Craft Bearings Sales Director Virgilijus Lapènas and Head of Business Development for Africa & Middle East Martynas Ruibys visit BI to conduct a roadshow and training, Strobel says the brand has been promoted extensively on BI’s digital platforms.
“Our branch networks are also promoting the brand at targeted end users, where we have seen some great results,” highlights Strobel. In addition, the organisers of NAMPO 2020 will hold a virtual expo in September, where BI will showcase Craft Bearings for the agricultural segment. Other sector focuses are food and beverage, mining, general industry and OEMs.
The main benefit for customers is that Craft Bearings are available from BI at a highly competitive price, which is a major advantage in the current price-sensitive business environment. BI has three tiers of bearings in its basket, allowing customers to choose the option that best suits their needs when it comes to machine-critical parts. This means BI can offer customers solutions that meet every budget and application.
Craft Bearings has its own in-house laboratory for testing bearing quality from dimensional testing to material composition testing. Combined with BI’s technical support infrastructure and countrywide branch network, end users can rest assured of full support and back-up, concludes Strobel.
