Hatch appoints new CEO
Consulting engineering and project management firm Hatch Chairman Dr. Kurt Strobele is pleased to announce that John Bianchini has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Hatch - one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction management firms, serving the metals, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Bianchini has spent his entire 27-year career with Hatch after graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering from the University of Toronto. He joined the company in 1985 as a process engineer, specialising in process development and implementation for the base metals industries. Since 2004 Bianchini has served as Hatch's Global Managing Director for Metals and as a member of the Board of Directors.
He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineers, and a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, the Canadian Society of Chemical Engineers, and the Professional Engineers of Ontario.
Based in Mississauga, Ontario, with offices in nearly 30 countries around the world, Hatch is an employee-owned, multidisciplinary professional services firm. Hatch has project experience in more than 150 countries and more than US$35 billion in projects currently under management. In South Africa, the firm has offices in Woodmead, Centurion and Cape Town.
