This year’s premier design and décor expo will be held under the theme of ‘Make your space your living dream’. An important aspect of this is connectivity, with local homes featuring a large number of electrical appliances. “With the help of Hager’s KNX automation systems, South Africans can now take control of their home security, comfort, efficiency, and energy independence from anywhere in the world,” EM spokesperson Lizanne Scholtz comments.
“Life has changed significantly for consumers over the last 15 years in terms of our level of connectivity. We are now connected via smartphones, tablets, and laptops – and consumers are often unaware that they can apply this level of connectivity to their homes,” Scholtz explains.
This is where EM’s association with Hager comes into play. The group is a leading supplier of solutions and services related to electrical installation systems for residential and commercial properties and industrial applications. “EM is proud to collaborate with this global giant. The KNX home automation systems from Hager, with its wired and wireless options, will make installations in new or existing structures a dream for any electrician,” Scholtz highlights.
Hager’s KNX will make life easier for South African homeowners. “For example, you can switch off all lights, close the blinds, and switch on the alarm system with a push of a single button, or via your smartphone,” Olivier Cassayre, Export Area Manager, Southern Africa, adds.
Scholtz says technical experts will be available on the EM stand to assist customers in selecting the correct products for their specific needs. Commenting on the benefits of exhibiting at Decorex Joburg 2017, she says EM aims to make international products available to homeowners, architects, and project engineers.
