BI has been distributing the Dodge brand on behalf of ABB for 15 years to date, reveals Product Manager Lingesh Levin Naidoo. This includes bearings, gearing and power transmission components. “By focusing on each industry and concentrating on its specific needs, Dodge has developed innovative product solutions and advanced technologies that help improve output, decrease downtime and enhance system value in South African industry,” comments Naidoo.
The Dodge ISN Safety Mount spherical roller bearing combines the advantages of modern Dodge bearings with a patented new locking mechanism that improves the safety and productivity of any operation. Benefits include replacing hammer blows with simply fastener tightening, no need for feeler gauges or other special tools and a new lock plate for simple installation.
Installation and removal can be carried out by a single person, while mounting and dismounting is from the same side of the bearing. The bearings are assembled, sealed and lubricated at the factory and are shaft-ready out of box, eliminating the possibility of any contamination during installation.
Dodge has a vast portfolio of products, systems, services and solutions for customers in a large number of industries, from mining to cement and power generation to food and beverage, paper and pulp and water. To complement this product range and offer a solution to take the guesswork out of mounting, the Dodge ISN Mounted Spherical Roller bearing arrives in one package and is shaft-ready,” highlights Naidoo.
